We recently had the pleasure of putting multiple concrete pieces into a luxury home on the St. Croix.
Concrete Fireplace Surround: We created this very textured concrete fireplace surround with matching hearth after the clients saw a concrete art piece that we made with John Gerber. Matching the smooth concrete top surface of the hearth to the very textured concrete surface of the face took a thoughtful and experienced approach. The textured concrete was paired beautifully with metal side panels and metal accents at the seams.
Kitchen Double Waterfall Island Concrete Countertop: The double waterfall island was the star of the show in this kitchen! 4″ thick and the double waterfall gives it the look that concrete deserves!
Concrete Countertops in other areas: From the rock faced concrete pool bath vanity to the white concrete laundry top, there were multiple concrete tops in this house and each with their own unique look! There is a concrete countertop in the upstairs exercise room, a 12 foot single piece concrete countertop in the master bathroom and a dark grey concrete countertop in the powder bathroom.
Concrete Shower Walls: These 12 foot tall concrete shower walls add a seamless touch! The back concrete shower wall has an integrated niche with a LED light. Concrete can be flexible and is easy to install, unlike other solid surfaces.
No matter where you look in your home, you can find a perfect place for concrete! You can go with solid colors or a pattern, neutral tones or bright colors, with concrete and the right artisan, any aesthetic is possible!
